Vintage SCHALLER'S AUTOMATIC TROLLING REEL Algonac Michigan.Schaller's Automatic Trolling Reel made for trolling or hand lining fishing in rivers.  This is a heavy duty reel measuring about 5 1/4 inches in diameter across the spool that is holding the wire line and weighing just under 6 1/2 pounds.  The reel clamps to the side of the boat and the spring loaded mechanism retrieves slack line while the fisherman brings in the fish by hand. Walleye machine working hand lining. Reel is in great used condition and appears to be fully functional and loaded with wire line.  Red label is marked 9740 North River Road, Algonac, Mich.
