    Description

    Hello and welcome!
This auction is for an authentic and original concert handbill primarily advertising Gladys Knight and The Pips performing on March 22 & 23, 1968 at the Anderson Theater in NYC.
BUT, what makes this handbill EXTRA SPECIAL and of INTEREST to LED ZEPPELIN collectors is the text at the very bottom reading "COMING MAR 30. the YARDBIRDS".
Of course, JIMMY PAGE was in The Yardbirds at this time, less than seven months before he and Led Zeppelin would launch their illustrious careers!
    The
size of this handbill is approximately 8.5" x 11", printed in split-fountain inks on medium-thick pale yellow paper, with a blank back side.
(There also exists an 8.5" x 11" handbill exclusively advertising The Yardbird's two performances on March 30, 1968 at the Anderson Theater with The Rich Kids and The Bagatelle opening the shows.
I would imagine that this Gladys Knight handbill that I am offering is much scarcer, in that the "COMING MAR 30. the YARDBIRDS" text at the very bottom is not all that noticeable and I doubt that many of these handbills were saved by collectors.)
The condition of this handbill is GOOD/FAIR (G/F) with aging & browning at the edges, creased corners with rounded corner tips, a missing top right corner, a small tear at the top edge that has been repaired with clear-tape on the back side (with very thin tape - possibly archival?), two more small tears at the mid-right edge repaired in a similar fashion and also some handling creases.
    The photos I've provided
are of the actual item being offered.
Please ask any questions you may have before bidding, however I do not respond to counteroffers.
This handbill will be securely packaged flat between sheets of sturdy cardboard and
shipped via USPS Priority Mail for .00, which includes full insurance.
I can only ship to the buyer's confirmed eBay shipping address in the U.S.A.
    Thanks for looking.
