This is a reprint of a 1969 poster publicizing a British tour featuring Led Zeppelin, Liverpool Scene and Blodwyn Pig. The illustrator is unknown.
Dimensions are 12" x 17"
Offset print on medium-weight glossy white stock.
Black and silver inks.
The fun thing about this poster is that the tour was promoted by Chrysalis, which at the time was an incredibly successful artist management, tour manager, booking agent that would someday become Chrysalis Records, and Peter Grant, Led Zeppelin's manager at the time.
This is a subtle reminder of how important Chrysalis was back then. The company had some relationship with virtually everything that mattered in the UK music business in the '70s. In addition to artists that it directly managed, like Jethro Tull and Mick Abraham's Blodwyn Pig, Chrysalis booked Led Zeppelin, Jeff Beck, Roxy Music, Curved Air, Yes and King Crimson, signed David Bowie to a music publishing contract, entered the recording studio business with Beatles producer Sir George Martin , ran concert tours and even ran London’s Rainbow Theatre for a time.
