I received this set at a Title I, after school workshop for teachers.  These were originally cut and glue worksheets.  I copied them onto white card stock to make them more heavy duty.
The
set consists of 4 sheets that measure 7.5" x 8.5" and 40 pieces that measure 1.125" x 1.25".  Each set of sorting pieces comes in a Ziploc snack-size bag.
Each shape sorting mat focuses on two 3-D shapes.
The following are the
shapes that are featured in this set: pyramids, cones, cubes, spheres, cylinders, rectangular prisms, and triangular prisms
.
Each sorting mat has 10 pieces.  Four of the pieces are illustrations of real-life items.  Two are colored in shapes.  Two are colored in shapes with faces.
And,
the other 2 are dotted white shapes that I outlined with marker
.
Each of the sheets is titled with "Shape Sorting", in black text, at the top.  Each page has 2 columns with 3-D shape headers.  Children simply take a piece out of the bag and place it under the correct column.
This set
would make a wonderful addition to a 1st or 2nd grade classroom to be used during Math Centers
!  It
would also be great to have in a household with young children
!  I am hoping to find it a good home.
