Description

3-way (2 circuit) BRASS canopy lamp part switch- works with 2 separate sockets. When installed
properly will operate one light, then other light, then both, then off. Also, you
can use to operate a 3-way light bulb. (Instructions below.)
This has a 3/8" nipple extending out, but we also have 5/8" or 1".
Outside pipe diameter is 3/8" (1/8 IPS). Rated: 3A 250VAC    6A125VAC     3A125VL

How to wire for 3-way keyless socket
1. Main wire with plug. Smooth side and opposite side has a very subtle ridge. Smooth side goes to black switch wire.
Ribbed goes to silver screw on socket.
2. Switch: Red wire to black screw on socket
Blue wire to gold screw on socket
How to wire 3-way rotary switch (with 2 or more sockets):
-Black wire on switch goes to smooth wire from plug.
-Red wire on switch (comes on first) goes to black wire
(or gold screw on first light).
-Blue wire on switch (comes on second) goes to black wire
(or gold screw on second----and third light if you have that)
-Ribbed wire from plug goes to white (or silver screw on all lights)
